<p>Derwin Mak lives in Toronto, Canada. His story &#8220;<em>Transubstantiation</em>&#8221; won Canada&#8217;s national science fiction award, the Prix Aurora Award, in the category of Best Short-Form Work in English in 2006. His novels are <strong>The Moon Under Her Feet</strong> and <strong>The Shrine of the Siren Stone</strong>. With Eric Choi, he co-edited <strong>The Dragon and the Stars</strong>, the first anthology of fantasy and science fiction by overseas Chinese. Derwin is a long-time fan of the Cthulhu Mythos. He also lectured about America&#8217;s Gothic town, Salem, Massachusetts, at the Royal Canadian Military Institute.</p>

<p>Paul Genesse is the author of several short stories featured in anthologies such as <em>Steampunk’d</em>, <em>Fellowship Fantastic</em>, <em>The Dimension Next Door</em>, <em>Furry Fantastic</em>, <em>Imaginary Friends</em>, <em>Catopolis</em>, <em>Terribly Twisted Tales</em>, <em>Pirates of the Blue Kingdoms</em>, and more. He is also the editor and the co-author of the origin story for <strong>The Crimson Pact</strong> anthology series. His first novel, <strong>The Golden Cord</strong>, Book One of the <em>Iron Dragon Series</em> has become the bestselling book his publisher, Five Star Books has ever had. Book two, The Dragon Hunters is out and more novels are on the way. <p>Rigel&#8217;s other stories include <em>Brigadoon</em> in the Star Trek anthology<strong> Strange New Worlds 10</strong> and (writing as Kris Katzen) <em>Kaboom, Ka-bye</em> in the Origins Awards nominated <strong>Shadowrun Sourcebook Seattle 2072</strong>.  Her tale <em><a href="http://chainstory.stormwolf.com/?p=124">Emerald Guardians</a></em> is an earlier installment in the wonderful Chain Story collection.  This story continues the adventures of the Patel family.  Rigel is currently creating other fantastical worlds both near and far, past, present and future.</p>
